Every day Prayer

There has been a lot of debate over our Nations "day of prayer."  To be honest...I didn't know there was one. But if I had, I would never have celebrated or supported it anyway.  Why?  The answer is simple, believers are not to join themselves with unbelievers even in prayer and if you need a special day to cause you to pray, you need more help than one day will accomplish anyway.

The badge of Christianity that most people wear today is more foreign, pagan and abominable to the true God than any cult.  Most Americans who claim to worship God are in fact worshiping an idol.  They paint their god as a touchy, lovey, feel good, do what you want and I will bless you no matter...type creation. They see God as a genie in the bottle, one they pull out and rub a little when they are having a tough time.
They send emails about him, create "inspirational" you tube videos or sign their names to "I'm a Christian!" chain letters.

"We must fight for our rights!"... Don't you already have the right to pray every day? Do you REALLY believe that calling a day by a certain title will cause EVERYONE to join in? Should we honestly pray before God and say "today we talk to you, tomorrow however, we're back to the same old grind....".

And to whom is the day of prayer granted?  Do you want your voice mingled with that of a Buddhist?  An Islamic?  Do we really think we impress God.......our god.......their god.......A GOD  with all our pomp and ceremony?  Pleeease..........I won't bow my knee with that.

I won't listen to a baby murdering, sodomite protecting, blasphemous government calling me to pray, by setting aside ONE day....
Listen to Paul:

Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
For as I passed by and beheld your devotions,
I found an alter with this inscription,
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship,
him declare I unto you.

God that made the world and all things therein,
Seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,
dwelleth not in temples made with hands.

Neither is he worshiped with men's hands,
 As though he needed anything,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.

You see, God does not need us to fight his battles.  In truth, we need God to fight our battles.

My children and I  read the other day in the book of Deuteronomy

"I am the God that stands in your midst."

We envisioned it as ~ being dressed in battle gear and facing the enemy on the battle field. As the trumpet sounds and we charge out to battle we notice that the enemy suddenly stops...they are no longer looking at us but above us.... their mouths are gaping, they drop their spears and turn to flee.  We, in amazement, turn to see a sight that is awesome, terrible, frightening and beautiful all at once....Our God....standing in our midst.
The battle is won, the glory is God's.

If you've read the book of Revelation, you already know how this story ends...God wins. He wins by his strong and powerful might...not ours.  So what are you called to do?  Point their eye's to HIM.  Let them see His glory shine around you.  Let them see the Creator that is to be feared and reverenced.

But when it comes to prayer... enter into to your closet, keep it between you and God. And thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
St. Matthew 6:5~7

Good Morning

Thought it would be a good way to wake up... so I threw the bums in bed with the girls. Little did I know they would simply snuggle down in and go back to sleep.  I need to recruit some wilder bums if I am to use them for wake up call.

Hello....Darlin'

Ladies, I know I am a married woman but I am afraid my heart has wandered!

Sing it with me....fourteen quarts at a tiiiiiiiiime and it didn't cost me a diiiiiiiime...... LOL!

Well, now that is not actually true.  it cost me $30.  I was on amazon the other day and saw that they had the All American 14 qt. listed for $230.  I have been canning for the past decade with two 7qt cookers at once and I just thought "Hmmm, I wonder if I could get enough out of my two to pay for one?"

So I posted them on Craigs list just to see.  One was at $150 and the other at $50.  My $150 sold right off the bat ~but the other had me sweating and didn't sell the first week.  I kept thinking "Oh Lord, I sold my best one and now I am going to be stuck running small batches all fall on my Presto."  BUT the second week a gal came and snatched it up too.  I took my  $200 and mooched another $30 from my man and well, as they say  "lived happily ever after" .LOL!

I was tempted while on there to get the 19qt.  After all I have one smaller cooker down cellar that I could have sold too. :) But decided that the sheer weight of  cooker, water and 19 full qts of food would just pulverize my little old stove. The poor thing is abused enough, after all I own it.

So anyway, if you pass my house tonight and hear someone inside singing praises in her kitchen....you'll know it's me again the spoiled daughter of the King.
